The West Central Alabama AHEC is committed to offering health education programs and services to our communities, many of which are located in health profession shortages areas. We are dedicated to serving disadvantaged and minority populations, who are often underrepresented in the health professions. We receive 100% of our funding through grants and community donations. ​Any donation you can make, no matter how small, will make a difference in our communities.

ABOUT WCAAHEC

The WCAAHEC staff works with schools to prepare disadvantaged and underrepresented students for health careers and introduce students to wide assortment of health careers. We develop creative, hands-on, innovative learning opportunities for student to explore various health careers, many they never knew existed. We help coordinate shadowing opportunities, and offer students an opportunity to participate in college tours and health career summer camp.
