Smiles for Life Oral Health Curriculum

Smiles for Life produces educational resources to ensure the integration of oral health and primary care. The Smiles for Life curriculum consists of eight 45-minute modules covering core areas of oral health relevant to medical clinicians. User competencies are measured through assessments at course completion. For each course a user must score an 80% or higher to receive credit. The following disciplines offer CE credit for completing course modules: physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pediatricians, midwives and dentist.

Veterans Mental Health

Www.help.org was started to provide people with trusted, real-world, evidence-based drug rehabilitation information from healthcare providers and professionals.  To access their evidence-based materials or to find resources for you or your family member who may be struggling with substance use disorder, please visit https://www.help.org/substance-abuse-rehab-for-veterans/

Veterans give their all in the service, yet may find it challenging to resume their civilian lives, especially if they suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Reintegrating into the community can be a long, hard road, for additional resources, please visit https://www.assistedliving.org/assisted-living-veterans-benefits-didnt-know-existed/

Many Americans continue to develop addictions and die from overdose, the call for health care providers to be better prepared to identify and properly treat addictions grows louder. That’s why the SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions developed the Substance Use Trainings page. The page links to multiple sources of ongoing training and educational opportunities for the provider workforce, and features a downloadable chart of upcoming and archived date-specific trainings and webinars. This page lists the training opportunities and sources that are publicly accessible, often online, and mainly for minimal or no cost. Although the page contains many sources and options, it is not a comprehensive list of all available trainings.
