Alabama AHEC Scholars Day 2023-Birmingham, AL
Alabama AHEC Scholars Day that took place on January 27, 2023 in Birmingham, AL at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. The students participated in a conference where T. Marie King was the keynote speaker with a contribution by Erin McAdams of the University of South Alabama. All scholars and participants had the opportunity to participate in an interactive professional development session, a walking tour of the Birmingham Civil Rights District, and visitation of displays at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. The first time event proved to be a success bringing Alabama AHEC Scholars together from all five AHEC centers in person since the program’s inception in 2018.
